Use of Graphics for the Top 50: We welcome you to use the banners off the top 50 for linking purposes so that you may gather more hits. However, we do not all you to host them on our servers. If you wish to use one of the banners please host them on your own server. Failing to do so will result in your account benign suspended or terminated. 

CGI CHEATS: There are a few ways to cheat using this form. I will not go into detail on how it is join but there are many ways it has been done. Using a banner ad program, a hidden cgi script that is only used for cheating on other sites. 

IMG SRC: If you are caught cheating with this is considered a MAJOR infraction. I monitor the incoming hits daily and this is very easy to find. Don't Think I don't about this since this is a very bad way of getting your site deleted. the loss of bandwidth you cause us because of this is another reason why I will delete you QUICKLY.

Please have us open in a full window: Not following this rule wont get u booted, but we will ask you to follow it if we find u are not...so do it anyway and save both of us the hassle. Please have it so when our link is clicked on, we either open in the entire current full size window, or a entirely new window at full size. Please do not have us open with in your frames.

Java Confirms: A pop up java window that asks the user to click 'ok' or 'cancel' to visit the Top 50 is not allowed in any form. An example is when a webpage has a java confirm stating "Click OK to vote for me on Elite Top 50". The reason this is not allowed is because it just adds to the mess out there, and people instinctively click 'ok'.

Spamming: Recently we have found that people are spamming news groups and Efnet (IRC) and even some abuse with email. Guess what? We see this activity - our stats will report a large number of hits coming from our cgi with your account # but mysteriously - there is no actual referring URL. Only two things can cause this...spammings and bookmarks. And it is unlikely that hundreds or even just a one surfer will be able to or want to bookmark your cgi URL link to us with your # in it. Besides that, those doing this should realize that people hate spammers and they know exactly what you are trying to do - produce clicks on your account. So then I also have people emailing me telling me that someone was spamming to such and such account number…so If I haven't already spotted this activity I can simply look it up and hey, busted!!

Auto open mouse overs: Using a java script so that when a surfer's mouse passes over our banner, our site is automatically loaded as if the banner was actually clicked on. This is of course NOT allowed!
